Dinghy Division Results

Mackay Yacht Club Dinghy Division sailed their first race for 2010 last weekend.

After weeks of foul weather, the skippers and crew were excited to be sailing again resulting in enthusiastic and close racing over the championship course set outside the north wall of Mackay Harbour.

A Mackay Yacht Club member says that the skills demonstrated by Mackay Yacht Club sailors should lead to Mackay being a dominant force in North Queensland Sabot Sailing. If they can get plenty of training time on the water, the young sailors will perform well at the State Championships in June.

Tye Stephenson won the day sailing “Fire Six” with Jack Turnbull “Trouble-Maker” and Dane Boulder “Robin Hood 2” second and third.
